The Estonian construction magazine Ehitusuudised awarded a special recognition to Maru Betoonitööd OÜ in the 2024 Concrete Building of the Year competition for the successful and high-quality execution of two technically complex and large-scale projects – the new headquarters of the Estonian Internal Security Service and the Enefit 280-2 oil plant.
The jury and Ehitusuudised highlighted Maru Betoonitööd’s ability to meet high technical demands, manage extensive concrete works, and deliver on tight deadlines while maintaining quality and professionalism.
The headquarters of the Estonian Internal Security Service in Tallinn was completed for Riigi Kinnisvara AS, with Nordecon AS as the main contractor and 3+1 Architects as the designers. This demanding project, both architecturally and in terms of security and concrete solutions, also received the jury’s grand prize.
The Enefit 280-2 oil plant in Narva is one of Estonia’s largest industrial investments in recent years. The main contractor was Maru Ehitus AS, and the concrete works were carried out by Maru Betoonitööd OÜ.
“This is a fully in-house project within the Maru Group – from design to construction, the entire production building was delivered by Estonian engineers and construction managers,” writes Ehitusuudised.
The Concrete Building of the Year competition, organised by the Estonian Concrete Association and the Association of Estonian Building Materials Producers, annually highlights outstanding concrete structures and honours excellence in engineering and construction.
Ehitusuudised, Estonia’s leading construction sector publication, also presents a special editorial award, which this year went to Maru Betoonitööd as a strong and reliable partner in concrete construction.
