Next stop: Rail Baltica Ülemiste terminal

Where landmarks rise and records are broken, Maru Betoonitööd is present. We are honoured to have been selected by Merko Ehitus Eesti and KMG Infra to perform the concrete works for the second stage of the 0-phase at the Rail Baltica Ülemiste terminal.

Our scope includes the southern section of the terminal area, with zero-level structures extending over a site nearly one kilometer long. We are constructing foundations, retaining walls, ramps and inclined slabs, stairwells, lift shafts, technical rooms, pedestrian tunnels, as well as road and tramway underpasses with overpassing bridge deck slabs and platforms. The total volume of cast in situ concrete constructions is approximately 10,000 m³, including exposed concrete surfaces with surface requirements designed in accordance with specifications by Zaha Hadid Architects.

Before commencing work on site, we visited the area together with the general contractor’s team. This has allowed us to carefully plan the upcoming works and prepare our team accordingly. A project of this scale and complexity requires thorough preparation and close cooperation with the client.

We thank Merko Ehitus and KMG Infra for their trust and wish all partners a refreshing summer break before the main construction phase begins: shaping imaginations!
