The new building of Saku Primary School is rising fast

We have been working on construction of a new building for Saku Primary School near Tallinn for a few months now. In September this year, we started cast-in situ works for the foundations and basement structures, and currently we are working on the erection of concrete elements and cast-in situ works of main building.

In the winning project of the architectural competition organized by Saku municipality, prepared by Salto architects, the wooden elements play an important role in the building’s frame and appearance. In addition to the installation of wooden elements, our scope of works for our client main contractor Nordecon consists of the casting of nearly 1,200 m3 of different concrete structures, over 6,500 m2 of formwork assembly and installation of >100 tons of reinforcing steel, and the assembly of over 2,200 different elements made of concrete, steel and wood.

Our works include erecting the supporting frame of three different buildings, in addition to the school building, the complex also has a sports building and outdoor areas

The new school building is designed for a thousand students. The Saku towns first athletics stadium with artificial grass, playgrounds and ball playgrounds and a winter ice skating rink will be added to it. The area also allows organizing larger public events for several thousand people.
