Maru Betoonitööd is proud to be responsible for the structural design and construction of the underground traffic tunnel in the Hipodroom Quarter, commissioned by Mapri Ehitus.
This is Estonia’s first underground roundabout – a technically demanding and unique engineering solution that is part of a large-scale development by Reterra Estate, encompassing 350,000 m² of residential and commercial space.
We began the design phase in January 2025 in close cooperation with Estkonsult, and are now approaching the final stage of the design process. In the coming weeks, we will begin reinforcement and concrete works on site.
The tunnel, approximately 250 meters in length, will connect Merimetsa tee and the new Hipodroomi street. Once completed, it will be one of Tallinn’s longest and most innovative traffic tunnels.
