We are constructing the concrete structures of the Kanama Viaduct.
We began concrete works on the Kanama Viaduct located on the Tallinn Ring Road of the Tallinn–Pärnu Highway at the end of last year. To date, the viaduct columns and one abutment have been completed, and construction of the second abutment is currently underway. Simultaneously, we are preparing for the installation of the deck slab formwork and reinforcement.
As part of the project, we are constructing two approximately 67-meter-long deck slabs. In total, we will pour around 2800 m³ of concrete, install about 4500 m² of formwork, and over 280 tons of reinforcement steel. The casting of the deck slabs is scheduled for March.
The reconstruction of the Kanama Viaduct is part of the Estonian Transport Administration’s significant infrastructure project, with GRK Eesti AS as the main contractor. The goal of the project is to renew the Kanama two-level interchange on the Tallinn–Pärnu Highway, including the on- and off-ramps and collector roads. Construction of the interchange began in spring–summer 2024 and will be completed in autumn 2025.
We wish strength and success to our project team and to the teams of the main contractor GRK and the Estonian Transport Administration in delivering this important infrastructure project.
