Helsinki’s western metro line, known as Länsimetro, will connect Helsinki and Kivenlahti. The first part of the route was opened two years ago and is currently in the process of being extended.
On 28 November a topping-out ceremony was held at Soukka metro station, where the concreting work is being carried out by Maru Betoonitööd. Construction of the station began in August 2018 and is due for completion in 2022. As part of the works, approximately 10,000 m3 of concrete is being poured and 1800 concrete elements are being installed.
